“Gardeners and Naturalist – “Growing Together”  What is Hypertufa?

Join Susan at Illinois Valley Community College for a hands on learning session!

Use a real leaf to create a one of a kind hypertufa sculpture for your garden.  You will experience molding techniques, mix the ingredients, and create your own leaf to take home.  There will be instructions for unmolding, curing, preparing and painting your leaf.  Susan will demonstrate how to paint a previously completed leaf to add detail and color.  A short power point presentation will covering the history & origins of Hypertufa along with its applications in present day.  Susan will bring extra leaves and items from her garden to show you the unlimited potential of this exciting process.  You become an official member of her “Sandcasting Tribe”!
